The duration of the floor sanding and finishing process depends on the size and condition of the floor. Typically, it can take between 4 to 8 days. Larger or more damaged floors may take longer, while smaller or less damaged floors may be completed sooner.
While dust is inevitable, we take all necessary precautions to protect your home and belongings.
We offer oil base polyurethane and water-based finishes. Each has its own advantages, such as durability, appearance, and drying time. We can help you choose the best finish for your needs.
For the most part, you may only need to dust-mop your floor. When you need to wash your floor, we recommend washing with water and a small percentage of a vinegar solution.
Floors with real hard wood most often can be repaired depending on customer preference.
The drying time for newly finished floors varies depending on the type of finish used. Generally, you can walk on oil-based finishes within 48 hours and water-based finishes within 24 hours. We recommend waiting at least 72 hours before moving furniture back into the room. Do not replace any area rugs to your floor for at least 14 days.
Yes, you will need to remove your furniture from the room where your flooring is going to be refinished. You may want to include any wall hangings along with removing your draperies to avoid dusting.
